Thanks to all those who came to the Ukrainian Community Festival, held on the 13th of January, 2024 together with our partner Citrus Plaza Market. It was dedicated to the Firsts Year anniversary of the radio project “Good evening, we are from Ukraine” and had more than five hundred people registered during four hours of celebration.
Ukrainian music and food, a contact zoo and a clown for the kids, prizes and fun contests from the hosts of the program – Svitlana, Elina, Victoria, Alina and Ruslana – all that created an unforgettable atmosphere of a holiday and united the people.
We thank the Mayor of Citrus Heights Bret Daniel for joining the event and sharing the words of encouragement and support of the Ukrainian community.
We thank Sacramento singers who took part in the program despite some rain: Natalia Bagmut, Roman July, Viktor Pokidiuk, Elani Moskaly, Serhiy Zubchenko, Marina Milchevska, Natalia Ginkul, Andriy Yakimchyk and Diana Tsvietkova. We thank all visitors and guests who attended the Ukrainian Festival.
We thank our friends from the Parasolka immigrant movement, volunteers of Sunflower society of Sacramento, the Dreamers of Ukraine, Community Connection Center, and pastor Vasil Nemchinov for being a part of the event.
We thank our new partners Ashton & Price Personal Injury Law Firm and Highlands Community Charter and Technical Schools.
We thank David Ponomar, Director of Ethno FM Radio, for the opportunity to be on air every Friday from 6 to 8 pm.
We thank the Trach Family for their support, hospitality and readiness to serve the community, supporting charity projects with their business.
More than 800 bowls of delicious Ukrainian borsch, with meat, salad and buckwheat were given away for free, and a special holiday cake – for everyone who stayed until the end.
